About Bob ~
Bob Shannon has worked primarily in the financial services area both in the private and public sectors providing his expertise for large and small companies. He has held executive positions on Wall Street focusing on Sales, Sales Management and Training. In addition, he sat on a Board of Directors for a Financial Savings institution where he was a fixed income portfolio manager and ran its Mortgage Banking trading and closing departments.
While on Wall Street, he started as a Financial Advisor in 1981 and moved onto Institutional Fixed Income Sales providing services to Banks, Insurance and Mortgage Banking companies. He then moved into Senior Management and became active in turning around branch offices on the retail side of Wall Street. It was at this point, Bob realized that while performing this process successfully, it was emotionally and intellectually draining doing it alone.
This is the reason Bob formed First and Main Business Advisors to help the small business owner with both the personal and business issues they face while instituting change within their companies. Bob is a member of Rotary International and the Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce.
